Steve starts making out with Hana but he can’t have sex with her, she thinks he’s repressed then goes into detail about them doing it, but Steve just doesn’t want to talk about it.

This can be read so many ways, but IMO I think he was just reeling from discovering how the US Government had betrayed him (by freezing him and then cloning him without his consent) not to mention he was still in love with Sharon (because he dreams about having a normal life and children with her several times in the comic).

I kind of like this, because in so many comics you have the strong  male protagonist get it on with the sexy girl and a page later he’s laying with her while sporting a post-coital smug smile. In here it kind of starts like that, Steve and Hana kiss and the panel after that implies that they are going to have sex, but next page instead of having both of them lying down naked together it’s just them fully clothed talking about how Steve couldn’t go through with it.

I don’t know how to explain it but in a way this makes him more human to me and less of a cliche action guy who sexes every girl he encounters.
